ATTENTION ALL HIGHLANDS RESIDENTS:
The Re-envisioning of the Highlands Lake Clubhouse (located at 8400 Highland Glen Drive) is continuing. Three new tables and chairs, (like those in the Lake Margaret Clubhouse), were delivered this week to accommodate a 12-person activity area. A big “thank you ” to Jeff Milner and his Highlands Nifty Fifties…Plus (NFP) friends for their voluntary assistance in the unloading and assembly of the furniture for the center section of the Grand Hall space. (Jeff- please personally thank them for me as I don’t have a list.) A soft seating area, which includes a nice comfy, donated sofa and area rug, now occupies the North Wing of the Grand Hall. The remainder of the main floor includes a co-sharing office and an 8 to 10 person meeting room, both furnished with existing furniture..
Any one of these spaces or the entire main floor area are now available for residents’ use on a pre-reservation-basis, similar to the protocol currently in place with the Lake Margaret Clubhouse. But, there’s more — by the middle of next week, the Kitchen will include a new refrigerator with an ice maker, a combo microwave/air fryer and a single-serve (Keurig-type) coffee/tea maker for your use as well. FYI, at this time, the HOA Committees and 2 regular, ongoing resident groups are using the facility. All Clubhouse rules and policies are the same as those at Lake Margaret. Reservations must be made in advance by a current Highlands resident, be at least 23 years old and in good standing with the HOA.
