Over the past few months, we have seen an unfortunate rise in vandalism, theft, and graffiti around the neighborhood. We all want our community to be a place where everyone feels welcome and proud to call home. Taking pride in where we live means more than just maintaining our own spaces—it means caring for every corner of our neighborhood and helping to keep it safe, clean, and enjoyable for all. Together, we can create a vibrant, fun, and inviting environment that reflects the pride we have in our community. To make that happen, we need to work together to address these incidents and find ways to stop them. Let us ensure our neighborhood remains a place we can all be proud of, for ourselves and future generations!
Today we must address an incident at our playground. Graffiti was left on the walls, and someone tried to steal our picnic tables. These tables are bolted down, and while they were not fully removed, one was destroyed in the process. We also found some bodily fluids and a Bluetooth speaker left behind. If you recognize the speaker, let us know—we would love to return it to its rightful owner.
We will not stand by and allow individuals to damage our neighborhood. Acts of vandalism, theft, and graffiti are not harmless pranks—they are serious offenses that impact the entire community. This is not something we take lightly. Just as we responded firmly to previous incidents, like the damage done to the pool and the intentional damage done inside 8400 and Lake Margaret clubhouse, we will continue to take swift action. When we identify those responsible for damaging our neighborhood, we will ensure there are consequences, and they are held accountable. Protecting our community is a priority, and we are committed to preserving the quality of life we all value here.
We have also heard more complaints about actions and behaviors at the playground. Instead of letting this bring us down, we are committed to turning these negatives into positives! We are planning improvements like better lighting and security at the playground and other HOA-owned spots. Our goal is to create safer, more inviting, and family-friendly spaces. We are also exploring adding Wi-Fi to encourage more families to spend time outdoors—and even allow folks to work from these beautiful locations.
We want to hear your ideas and feedback! Please join us for our annual meeting do-over on November 7th at The Reserve. Doors open at 5 PM, and the meeting starts at 6 PM. If you have not voted for the two open board seats yet, don’t forget to submit your vote! Let’s work together to make our neighborhood even better! 👏
