The Highlands Flagpole
To kick off this year’s celebrations, the installation of a new flagpole is planned for the Highlands Lake Clubhouse (at the pool). This is a great way to show our national pride, to thank our military soldiers, and to honor our veterans.
This project is the result of an initiative proposed by the Highlands 250 Committee, an independent, voluntary group of Highlands residents dedicated to engaging the community in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and founding of the Country.
This flagpole plaza is scheduled for completion in time for a formal dedication ceremony on
Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026 beginning at 8:30 AM.
The Committee has great expectations that this plaza will not only celebrate this 250th Anniversary but will serve as a permanent reminder for future ceremonies to recognize the commitment, courage and sacrifices made by those who gave their all so that we could enjoy this day.
