We are recruiting volunteers to serve on the Highlands Architectural Review committee.
Current members have advised the BOD of their intent to step down by the end of the year, which leaves us with no method to address future project request unless we can find three volunteers to serve. As it is with all committees, a board adviser will be available to support the team.
The minimum requirements to serve on the committee are to be a member in good standing, to apply the rules and regulations in a manner that promotes continuity of the process as well as considering the aesthetic impact of each project request on the community.
The committee terms and background are as follows:
- Background:
- The purpose of the ARC is to review homeowner project applications to ensure that they meet all guidelines and documentation requirements.
- The committee will make the final decision concerning the authorization or denial of all projects.
- Committee Terms:
- The Architectural Review Committee shall have an odd number of members, for voting purposes, with no fewer than 3 members.
- The committee will recommend one Committee Chair to be approved by the Board.
- Committee Chair shall have a term of no more than 3 years, with a vote required for a new chair at the end of the term.
- There are no term limits regarding any of these positions.
